Kawakawa is known as the “Pharmacy of the Forest”. The small native tree, with distinctive heart shaped leaves, is a significant and sacred plant to Maori. Among its many healing properties, it is reputed to soothe insect bites and stings, skin rashes, poor circulation, bruises, wounds, burns, aches and pains.
Presented in an attractive tin attached to an information card, this is a great product for yourself or to give as a gift.
To use: Apply a thin layer to skin as needed.
Product weight: 50 grams
Ingredients: Maceration of Kawakawa (Macropiper excelsum) leaves in Sunflower oil* and Beeswax.
*Please note - Geoff and Jan have recently changed from using olive oil as a base in their balms to New Zealand grown sunflower oil. They've decided to use their remaining packaging rather than waste it (a move we whole-heartedly support!), so some packaging may still refer to olive oil, however all balms now contain sunflower.
Dee says: "I'm so pleased to be able to bring you some of Millstream Gardens' wonderful natural products. I've known Geoff and Jan for a few years now, since they invited us to keep some of our hives at Millstream, and they are absolutely the real deal. Their knowledge of plants and herbal remedies is incredible, and most of the plants used in their products are grown and harvested right in their own gardens. With 30 years of learning and experience under their belts, their skill and commitment shows in every tin."
